Updated: May 2022

This website, and each of our Centessa Group websites, as listed at Appendix 1 of the Centessa Website Privacy Policy, is operated by, or on behalf of, Centessa Pharmaceuticals plc (“Company“, “we“, “us” or “our“) and its group of companies (“Centessa Group“).

In the spirit of transparency, and to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulation 2003 (PECR), this policy describes our use of cookies and other similar technologies on our websites. It should be read in conjunction with our Website Privacy Policy.

  1. What Information We Collect and How It Is Used

When someone visits our websites, we use technology to collect information to help us provide you with a good experience and also to allow us to improve the site and the services that we offer. This means that when you visit this website, cookies or similar technologies may be placed on your computer/device, where you have accepted to do so via the website cookie banner. So that you know more about the technologies used and can make informed decisions about how your data will be collected, we have provided a description of these.

The website may contain links to other 3rd party websites. Please note that we have no control over how your data are collected, stored, or used by other websites, and we advise you to check their privacy notices and cookie policies before providing any personal data to them.

  1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, smart phone, or other devices when you visit websites. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as provide information to the owners of the website.

  1. How We Use Cookies

Cookies allow us to recognise users (where appropriate), tailor the content on our website and help us improve its functionality. Without certain types of cookies enabled, the website may not function as efficiently or to its full capacity, thus negatively affecting the user experience.

We use cookies to obtain information about visitors to the website and about the devices used to access the website.

The information that we gather includes IP addresses, operating systems, browser types, and, depending on the cookie, statistical data about browsing actions and patterns.

  1.  Types of Cookies

ESSENTIAL OR “STRICTLY NECESSARY” COOKIES

These are essential to the running and functionality of the website and cannot be disabled, as doing so may affect the performance and function of the site.

 PERFORMANCE OR EXPERIENCE COOKIES

These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website. For example, which pages are visited most often, how people navigate around the site, and if there are any error messages that appear. They collect only anonymised data or aggregated information that is used to improve the way the site works and the user experience.

FUNCTIONALITY OR SESSION COOKIES

These cookies allow the website to remember the preferences and choices you make, such as your preferred language, region and user name. They gather information on things you customise and select and retain it for your next visit. They are not essential but enhance user experience and efficiency.

THIRD PARTY COOKIES

Some portions of the websites use third party services and software, such as maps, online videos, or social networking features, such as a Twitter feed. Many of these services may set cookies in your browser. This website has no control over third party cookies, but visitors can opt out of these via our website cookie banner.

FLASH COOKIES

These are common in website adverts, video clips and animation. They enable a website to recognise the user’s browser when it returns and store information such as when a video is launched or viewed.

Please note that, at this time, the cookies below are not present on our websites, but we provide details on these types of cookies for your information:

 ADVERTISING COOKIES

These are used to deliver adverts that are deemed relevant to you and your interests, based on your previous web browsing history. They keep track of which adverts have been viewed and control how many times a person is exposed to the same advert, whilst tracking the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. The information is then used for remarketing, by customising the adverts the user sees on other websites.

WEB BEACONS

These are “bits” of data that count the number of users who access a website. They allow organisations to see if a cookie has been activated, if a user has clicked through to that site from a link or advert contained within an email. These are used to identify which emails are of most interest to a customer and track the success of an advertisement or marketing campaign.

  1. How You Can Control and Delete Cookies

Most cookies help you get the best out of our website; however, you can choose to decline the optional cookies via the cookie banner that is present on the website.

We use a privacy-friendly analytics platform called Plausible to provide us with web useage analytics and insights.  This does not apply cookies or other technologies to collect or process any personal data of web users.

We may occassionally use Google Analytics to gather insights regarding website usage and this data is anonymous to us, so does not identify you personally to us. However, Google may use this raw data for their own purposes which we cannot control.

For your information, as well as declining optional cookies via our website cookie banner, you can also opt out of being tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, via http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

  1. Third Party Websites

As mentioned previously, this policy does not cover any websites we link to from this website. For more information about cookies on other websites, please read their respective policies or statements.

SerpinPC

Overview
SerpinPC is a subcutaneously administered novel inhibitor of APC being developed as a potential treatment for hemophilia, regardless of severity or inhibitor status, and may also prevent bleeding associated with other bleeding disorders. Centessa is advancing the registrational program for SerpinPC in hemophilia B, which includes a set of clinical studies with multiple components. PRESent-5, initiated in late 2022, is an observational feeder study to collect prospective observational data for minimum defined periods before switching to dosing subjects in the interventional studies. The interventional studies include PRESent-2 (moderately severe to severe hemophilia B without inhibitors, and severe hemophilia A with and without inhibitors) and PRESent-3 (hemophilia B with inhibitors). Additional information on the trials can be accessed at www.clinicaltrials.gov  (NCT05605678NCT05789524NCT05789537). SerpinPC is an investigational agent that has not been approved by the FDA or any other regulatory authority.
